Dot IT Domains

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT ccTLD is quite popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing imaginative and catchy domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to have an easy-to-memorize domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to give it with associates and pals. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is related to the information sector taking into account that IT is an abbreviation, which is used all over the world.

Bearing in mind that dot IT domains are not provided directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this extension, such a domain can be booked through a third-party domain provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can secure a .IT domain for a year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. The sole stipulation is that the person ordering such a domain should be situated in a country from the EU.

Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not offer such third-level domains, though, because they can be registered only by locals.
