A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be stunningly easy in case you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting package with us. You can enable the feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your shared hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you have created displayed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously inform you if a specific mailbox gets all the emails associated with a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you like. If there is active email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will get a warning note from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
